This demo was amazing. And it's not even all they have to show, they saved the juicy stuff for Citizen Con later this year.
@rooq The demo above is pretty long, but well worth the watch
Yeah 3.0 looks amazing. Even 2.5 is quite enjoyable so far. Last few days i was doing alot missions, finding weapons, getting credits to buy stuff. Some PvP aswell, rly some asshats out there. And it is quite stable for me aswell, normally played around 2 hours an evening and without a crash.
Can't wait to check it out @ home
3.0 is amazing, i've been playing 4 hours now on the PTU. Gone round Delamar with an URSA, went to Cellin and Deymar. My mind is blown, theres so much i wanna try. Travel takes quite some time, which i really like. It gives distance a meaning. Its also awesome when you close in on a landing zone from orbit and the last few k's you need to slow down and it just takes time and patience to get to your destination.
Frankly PTU is a bugfest atm but even still what they've done so far is simply nothing less then amazing. Now when they iron out the kinks it will be a true masterpiece if you ask me. I don't regret any penny i spent so far.
Some better screens, not taken with my phone
Sunrise on Yela
Trying to do some missions. Got the blackbox onboar dbut then my ship bugged out on me, it wouldnt want to stop anymore. Managed to crashland on Port Olisar with backwards strafe, sliding across the pad and finally pulling engines off Got me a crime stat for managin that, ungratefull bastards in ATC. Well to top it off the game crashed on me upopn completion of the mission, so guess all is good
A bit of gameplay from the weekend. The wekend patch was really broken tbh so it might not be the best example as you can see stuf isnt working well and i have to retry sveral times before getting things to do as they should. Anyway todays patch ist said to be really stabel so i give it a try. Also it seems NPC Interdiction is in, want to test that aswell and see if i find some pesky pirates who try to pull me out of quantum
Another bit of random gameplay, the new patch seems very smooth and good. Sadly i forgot an important rule: Always lock your ship Dunno why the insurance didnt claim the rover, so basically without anyone agreeing to pick me up and the guy mocking me i was screwed...
it looks great, i just dont wanna overplay it before its out..
Well its a game to last tbh. I think there will be so much to do when they start adding content it will be for years if you get something going and have a good corporation/clan. I played EvE Online for like over 8 years. At times it was for years the only game i played, and everyday I see SC filling that void someday.
PS: The new patch is amazingly smooth, though when i stream i tends to studder. Also it seems some stuff like buttons tned not to work when streaming but work when i don't, dunno why maybe bandwith problems.
Picture from 2 hours of solid gameplay. Did a cargo run mission and afterwards went to Grim Hex for some shopping, then hang around Olisar. Awesome so far
are there many players?
It's holy shit alright. Single digit FPS in a GTX 980 TI, minimum settings. Guess I'll check back on it again next year.
i7 6700k, 32gb RAM and a GTX970 for me and i can play with like 25fps which is alright for me. But yeah guess in a year we have something more of a game atm theres a lack of content tbh
Servers are quite full atm but limited to 50 iirc (its still instanced atm).
Some more missions and a trade run. Mission payout sucks atm.
Just had an amazing gameplay. I was flying around checking commodities prices on outposts when someone on coms sent an emergency that he crashed on yela in the middle of nowhere and would need a pickup. Me and another guy went to yela to start searching for him, initially he said he could reach Kosso Basin Emergency Shelter, so i went there. When i arrived i found out he was around 200km away and on foot, he would be long dead before he would get there but it was the closest outpost. He gave us another distance and i startet flying towards it and reached the position where the two distances matched. Sadly he didnt see me and already half an hour of his hour of oxygen was gone by the time. Well, i was about to give up, then it dawned on me we need a third distance to pinpoint his location so i asked him for another distance check on Arc Corp 18 Mining Site. With the 3 distances i went and tried to triangulate his position which is kinda hard cause in the cockpit you cannot look around freely the 360 degree. But i managed to get to a point that almost matched all his given distances. 1 hour of search and rescue had passed by now, the guy was low on oxygen and couldnt see me in the sky, even though i kept shooting my guns. Again we were about to give up when i found a floating drake bucanner. I asked in chat whats about it and he mentioned it was his abandoned ship and he should still be close. I flew around a bit when he suddenly spotted me and directed me towards a landing 500m away from him. I tell you this was such an awesome moment, when he boarded my Vanguard just as his oxygene was running out. So i tried to bring him to PortOlisar, but the station started shooting me, turns out the guys has a crimestat, so back to Grim Hex where i was able to drop him off, we had a good laugh and i rushed back to PO to log out as i was half an hour late for dinner at my mom's
Sry to keep posting those but i could take a screenshot every second. This game is so breathtakingly beautiful
Amazing, flew another rescue yesterday and then traded some more with the Connie. Think i need a trading ship myself as the connie is only a loaner for the carrack. I am whondering if i should exchange the retaliator, but even though i have no use for that ship it looks so awesome i cant part with it... ah well. Guy in the co pilot seat is my 2nd account, minimises the risk while trading, so when i crash he keeps the ship alive till i rejoin
