Note: if you want to check whether it properly works now, be sure to give group Commanders & group Officers the Promote Member permission again (I removed that permission temporarily). Fixed by Rabbit
So, apparently it's not a bug that you can't move threads out of the social group forums. Perhaps there's a work-around though.. it would be pretty annoying if threads can't be moved to the correct forum when a social group becomes a division
What the hell is this guy saying? You can only move threads between groups? And what's this about not being able to have 100s of groups with 3 forums each?

No thanks. When the day comes that stuff needs to be moved from a Social Group forum to a normal forum, I'll just do it manually.
255 character limit on frontpage post comments in Groups is pissing me off. It could at least show a 'characters remaining' number or something, so you know if you need to cut down on your babble. Right now when you submit a post longer than 255 characters it gives you the error message and discards the previous post, requiring users to rewrite their message and hope to god it stays under the limit .. or well, put it on their clipboard before submitting, but I just forgot to do that for the second time in a week and got kinda ticked off.
same is true for status update, although that gives you a count, we could probably squirt something in, but i dont make any promises as the groups thing is a programmed by a "special snowflake"
